Los Altos resident Stephen Waarts, 16, is scheduled to perform with the Silicon Valley Symphony Friday night in Palo Alto.

Violinist Stephen Waarts of Los Altos is slated to perform with the Silicon Valley Symphony 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 600 Colorado Ave., Palo Alto.

Waarts, 16, is scheduled to play Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1. The symphony will then perform two show pieces.

This marks Waarts’ sixth concerto performance with SVS; he first appeared with the symphony four years ago.

Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for seniors and students, and free for children 12 and under with an adult.
