PCA receives grant from Peery Foundation The nonprofit Positive Coaching Alliance recently received a $100,000 grant from the Peery Foundation, which has former Pinewood School boys basketball coach Jason Peery on its board of directors. The grant will underwrite PCA workshops at 52 high schools in the Central Coast Section. The workshops are designed to teach athletes how to impact sport on three levels: by improving their own performances on and off the field, by having a positive influence on their teammates and by elevating the game as a whole. “PCA is just an amazing organization,” Peery said. “My simple belief is that teams perform better, athletes become better leaders, coaches become better coaches, parents become more supportive and everyone has a lot more fun when we teach PCA principles.” Local Little League welcomes players Los Altos & Los Altos Hills Little League’s spring-season registration is scheduled through February.
