St. Joseph hosts Run for Zimbabwe

The Sustainable Living Foundation has scheduled the 14th annual Run for Zimbabwe Orphans and Fair noon to 4 p.m. March 24 at St. Joseph School, 1120 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View.

The event features races for everyone, from preschoolers to adults; a children’s art show; live music; food; Zimbabwe cultural exhibits; and shoe and book drives.

Proceeds benefit the Zimbab-we Children’s Orphanage and Gardens for Paraguay.

MV offers online, pay-by-phone utility bill service

The city of Mountain View has launched a pay-by-phone and online utility bill service.

The service, in conjunction with online provider Paymentus, is free to customers and available 24/7, accepting electronic checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Customers can make payments by phone by calling (855) 288-0315.

To pay online, visit www.mountainview.gov/PayYourBill.

Residents can make payments via the service on a one-time basis, a recurring basis or by establishing an account to link all utility bills from a single payer. Payments and payment history may be viewed online, and electronic bills and paperless statements are offered as well. Each billing will be available once issued, and the latest 12 bills will be viewable.

Mtn. View seeks teens for Youth Commission

The city of Mountain View is recruiting volunteers to serve on the Youth Advisory Committee for the 2013-2014 term.

The Youth Advisory Committee comprises students in junior high and high school who represent Mountain View teens in local government and advise adults on teen issues.

To serve as a member of the Youth Advisory Committee, the applicant must be:

• A Mountain View resident.

• Enrolled in seventh through 12th grade for the 2013-2014 school year. Current sixth- through 11th-graders are eligible to apply.

• Able to attend all meetings and events.

• Motivated and committed to representing his or her fellow youth and teens.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. April 5.
