LASD invites BCS Feb. 13 facilities meeting Print E-mail
Written by Traci Newell

The Los Altos School District Board President Doug Smith reached out to the Bullis Charter School board Monday (Feb. 11) night, inviting them to a Feb. 13 meeting to discuss questions regarding the district's preliminary facilities offer for next year.

A meeting with Bullis Charter School board members was originally scheduled for Feb. 25, but Smith said he feared that would not give the Bullis Charter School team enough time to use that information for their March 1 counter to the preliminary offer of facilities.

"Although this is exceptionally short notice, we believe this discussion would be beneficial to both sides," Smith said in a letter to charter school chairman Ken Moore. "By accelerating the discussion, it gives a greater opportunity to provide information which might be important in your (facilities) response on March 1."

The meeting is open to the public and tentatively scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 13) in the Covington School Multipurpose room.

Pick up the February 20 edition of the Town Crier for more details from the meeting.
