Local families are invited to dine at Mountain Mike's Pizza, 1724 Miramonte Ave., Thursday (Jan. 31) to help raise funds for the family of Lyndsey Dworkin, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor last week.

Dworkin, an MVLA Soccer player on the U12 Tornados and a student of Springer School, is currently in the hospital with a brain tumor that was found last week after suffering terrible headaches. The tumor was removed last week and the family is waiting for the pathology report.

Both parents have full time jobs and are taking time off to be with Lyndsey and her younger brother.

MVLA Soccer is hosting this fundraiser through Mountain Mike's Pizza, which has pledged to give 20 percent of its proceeds to the Dworkin family. Customers must mention MVLA Soccer at the time of the order.
