The Los Altos Town Crier Holiday Fund has raised over $2 million to support needy families and children since its launch in 2000. Special thanks are due the 1,100-plus individual donors whose philanthropic passions have made this possible. Thanks also to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation which has consistently managed the funds. Each year the Los Altos Town Crier staff visits each site to verify that every dollar is making a difference in dealing with hunger, literacy, health issues, college preparation, clothing needs, drug addictions and family life. – Paul Nyberg, Publisher
