Marjorie P. Stanbury, of Lake Wildwood, passed away peacefully January 11, 2013. Private services will be held. Marjorie was born January 31, 1926 in Butte, Montana. She was an outstanding student and a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at Montana State University. She married Robert in 1948 and they moved to Mountain View where they raised a wonderful family of children, five boys and one girl. Marjorie and Robert have been residents of Lake Wildwood for more than 20 years.

Marjorie had classical training in music and piano and encouraged a love of music to all of her children. She earned a masters degree in marriage and family counseling from the University of San Francisco. Her children were all accomplished aquatic athletes and Marjorie made sure they all graduated from college. Marjorie loved to garden and had an extensive collection of flowers and roses. She and Robert also traveled to many locales including Australia, Russia, Italy, France, England, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. Marjorie thoroughly enjoyed “Music in the Mountains” performances and loved to entertain guests and family in her home. A highlight in her life was to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved animals and was especially fond of cats.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Robert, brother Bob, sons Corey, Kedar, Shawn, Davin, Conan, and daughter Megan. Marjorie has twelve grandchildren who brought great delight to her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Arrangements in care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary, Grass Valley, CA.
