Miyoko Ohtake and Robert Beetem

Miyoko Ohtake and Robert Beetem were married Oct. 26 in Half Moon Bay. A reception followed at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Ohtake of Williamstown, N.Y., and Seiji Ohtake of Buffalo, N.Y.

She graduated from Williamsville South High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Toronto, Ontario, and a master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University. She is employed at Girls on the Run.

The groom is the son of Sarah and Jim Beetem of Los Altos. He graduated from St. Francis High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in robotics from Santa Clara University. He is employed at Lockheed Martin.

The couple honeymooned in New Zealand and live in San Mateo.
