Bullis Charter School choral students perform for seniors during the holiday season. Twenty-five choir students from Bullis Charter School performed for residents at Redwood Villa in Mountain View and The Terraces at Los Altos, sharing a concert medley of two-part, a cappella holiday songs Dec. 14. The students, among the 140 who participate in the charter school’s choral program, used their lunch periods to prepare for the concert.
“I feel lucky to have the opportunity to lead these fourth- through sixth-graders, who exhibit such dedication, focus and passion for music,” said David Belles, Bullis Charter School’s music specialist. Residents said they enjoyed the holiday concert. Sue Stadden, who resides at Redwood Villa, deemed the students’ performance “excellent.” The students said they enjoyed the time as well. “I loved singing, but my favorite thing was talking with the audience afterward – they were all so nice and fun,” said a fourth-grade member of the choir. Cathy Jensen, lifestyle program director at The Terraces of Los Altos, told the students she was grateful for their performance. “You brought joy and happiness to our residents during this holiday season,” she said.
