LASD task force gets under way

The Los Altos School District Superintendent’s Task Force on Enrollment Growth kicked off the first of 11 scheduled meetings Dec. 4.

The task force is charged with reviewing the enrollment challenges facing the district and exploring a long-term solution for housing Bullis Charter School.

The next meeting is scheduled 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district office boardroom at 201 Covington Road, Los Altos. Future meetings – slated at the same time and place – are set for Jan. 8, 15 and 22, Feb. 5 and 26, March 5 and 19, and April 2 and 16. All meetings are open to the public.

The task force includes the following members, representing the organizations or positions in parenthesis: Superintendent Jeff Baier and Assistant Superintendent Randy Kenyon (Los Altos School District); Nancy Gill, Liz Henry and Rachel Michelson (Los Altos School District Board of Trustees); Jeremy Minshull (Los Altos School District superintendent); Sandra McGonagle (Los Altos School District principal); Barry Groves (Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District); Fred Gallagher (Bullis Charter School); Ken Rosenberg (Mountain View Chamber of Commerce); Steve Fick (Los Altos Chamber of Commerce); Duncan MacVicar (Los Altos City Council); and John Swan (Los Altos Hills City Council).
