Even Napoleon braved the stormy weather Nov. 28 for the official groundbreaking of downtown Los Altos boutique hotel Enchanté.

Developer Abigail Ahrens, above in brown coat, spearheaded the project, which will feature 18 guest rooms, a bistro and an outdoor gathering space at the corner of Main Street and San Antonio Road.
