Los Altos Forward has scheduled First Friday festivities 6-10 p.m. Dec. 7 in downtown Los Altos. The theme for this month’s event is “All Aboard for the Holidays.”

Visitors can enjoy happy hour 5-6 p.m. at Fiesta Vallarta, Maltby’s Restaurant & Tavern, Opa! or Ristorante Bella Vita.

From 6-8 p.m., attendees can browse and shop at stores and galleries, many of which will provide First Friday discounts and complimentary snacks and beverages.

Children can hop on the locomotive and enjoy a free ride around downtown, sit on Santa’s lap at 359 State St. and play the Find the Train Ticket game. Musicians and carolers will perform.

Organizers encourage guests to bring a canned good for the local food drive. Drawings are scheduled for gift certificates donated by local stores and restaurants. For tickets to the drawing, either purchase merchandise during First Friday or participate in the Find the Train Ticket game.

From 7:30-10 p.m., a Holiday Party at 359 State St. will feature beer, wine, snacks and seasonal music.

The First Friday headquarters at 359 State will offer programs, information, Santa visits and drawing registration.

All activities are scheduled indoors, so the event will take place rain or shine.
