Abilities United has scheduled its annual Authors Luncheon 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Crowne Plaza Cabaņa Hotel, 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto.

The event draws a sold-out audience each year. This year’s authors panel includes Buzz Bissinger, Arlie Hochschild, Jon J. Muth and Lee Woodruff.

Added to the program this year is “Fund a Future,” an auction to raise scholarship funds for early intervention services for children at risk of developmental delays. In the 21 years since its inception, the Authors Luncheon has raised more than $2 million. Funds are used to provide services to people with developmental and physical challenges.

An art exhibit and silent auction will showcase original works of art by artists from Abilities United. Proceeds support the artists, who range in age from 3 to older than 50.
