If you're traveling toward downtown Los Altos on Foothill Expressway this rainy Thursday, use caution.

Witnesses contacted the Town Crier reporting a two-car accident involving a Los Altos Police vehicle at the intersection of El Monte Avenue and Foothill Expressway shortly after 2 p.m.

Officers are currently directing traffic at the intersection.

Calls to the Los Altos Police Department seeking information about the accident have not been returned yet.
