Executive pay cap measure at El Camino Hospital passes Print E-mail
Written by Bruce Barton

Measure M, a union-induced initiative capping pay of El Camino Hospital's top executives, passed in Tuesday's election with a 51.91 percent yes vote. Measure M received 24,650 yes votes and 22,833 no votes.

The pro campaign was heavily supported by Service Workers International Union (SEIU) members. The measure will limit executive pay at the hospital to no more than double the annual salary of California Gov. Jerry Brown.

Hospital management is expected to challenge the measure's legality in court.
