The Women’s Golf Group at Los Altos Golf and Country Club has scheduled its second Charity Golf Tournament Nov. 6. The group will donate all proceeds to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial assistance to wounded U.S. service members and their families.
The tournament will feature a nine-hole golf round, with a suggested minimum entry fee of $35. A raffle, a silent auction and an informal introduction to Operation Homefront will follow the tourney. Local businesses that have donated to the cause include Los Altos Golf and Country Club, Gemma Boutique, Bliss Beauty Center, Sheldon of Los Altos Photography Studio and SkinSpirit. Auction items include an autographed football from Jerry Rice, autographed items from Juli and Brian Inkster, Juli’s team jacket from the Solheim Cup and an oil painting by award-winning artist John Burton. To make a tax-deductible donation, send checks payable to Operation Homefront by Nov. 15 to Los Altos Golf and Country Club, 1560 Country Club Drive, Los Altos 94024.
