Grand theft

Oct. 9, 5:23 p.m., 500 block of Casita Way: A resident reported that someone removed the catalytic converter from his vehicle overnight.

Oct. 12, 10:20 a.m., 800 block of Fremont Avenue: A resident at an elder-care facility reported a personal check from his checkbook stolen.

Identity theft

Oct. 11, 3:09 p.m., 300 block of North Avalon Drive: A resident contacted police after being notified by his bank that someone tried to open an account in his name. The resident sustained no financial loss.

Accident and DUI arrest

Oct. 12, 3:10 a.m., 700 block of Panchita Way: A male motorist was arrested on suspicion on driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle collided with a parked car. No injuries were reported.

Misdemeanor warrant arrest

Oct. 12, 10:26 a.m., 500 block of Lassen Street: Police arrested a 61-year-old female at her residence on an outstanding $10,000 warrant for traffic violations issued by the Mountain View Police Department. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.

Residential burglary

Oct. 12, 2:20 p.m., 1100 block of Golden Way: An unknown suspect forcibly entered the home during daytime hours and stole electronics and jewelry.

DUI arrest

Oct. 15, 12:43 a.m., South Springer Road and Cuesta Drive: A 37-year-old male motorist was arrested during a traffic stop for driving under the influence. The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
