|International auto show opens Thursday in San Jose|

The 2011 Silicon Valley International Auto Show is scheduled Thursday through Sunday at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, 150 W. San Carlos St.
Hundreds of vehicles will be on display at the annual event, presented by the Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association and produced by Motor Trend Auto Shows.
Several of the cars include next-generation technology, such as inflatable rear seatbelts, accident-avoidance sensors, built-in WiFi and satellite TV.
Cars from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Toyota and Ford will be available to test-drive Friday through Sunday.
Show highlights include an airbrushed “American Pride” Camaro, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray featured in the movie “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and the limited ZL 585 Camaro (only 500 produced).
There will also be luxury cars from Bentley, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce and Lotus on display. In addition, a collection of Ferraris will show the history of the Italian sports car.
Auto show hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $5-$9, free for children 6 and under.
