Lancers sign letters St. Francis High last week recognized four seniors who have committed to play sports in college next year. Los Altos resident Cole Baylis (baseball, Oregon State), Chris Hoo (baseball, Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo), Shaina Olsen (volleyball, UC Irvine) and Jordan Shaw (volleyball, St. Mary’s College) signed their letters of intent during a lunchtime ceremony held on campus Nov. 11.
Play ball Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball is registering players (boys and girls 5-19) for the spring season. Practices begin in March and the season ends by June. Softball signups Registration is under way for the spring season of MVLA Girls Softball, a recreational league committed to giving all girls – regardless of experience and athletic ability – the opportunity to explore and enjoy the game. The league is open to girls 5-16 living in or attending school in Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Sunnyvale. The season begins in March and runs through May.
