Heidmann

Teddy Heidmann of Los Altos Boy Scout Troop 37 has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which will be recognized in a Court of Honor ceremony June 23 at the Los Altos Youth Center. Heidmann joins the select 2 percent of all Scouts to reach the rank of Eagle.

For his service project, Heidmann planned, designed and managed the building of three seating areas around the quad at Blach Junior High School. Under his leadership, Scouts and adults worked for more than 220 hours to complete the project.

An eighth-grader at Blach, Heidmann will attend Mountain View High School next fall.

Troop 37 is the oldest troop in continuous operation in the Stanford District of the Pacific Skyline Council and one of the oldest in California. The original group, chartered as Troop 1, formed in 1917.
