The title character is the African-American maid of a Southern Jewish couple, and a confidant to their young son, Noah. When Caroline is enlisted in a plan to teach Noah a lesson about leaving change in his pockets, the tide of social change begins to affect her life firsthand. Pear shares ‘Slices’ this weekend in Mountain ViewThe Pear Avenue Theatre this month presents “Pear Slices 2008,” an assortment of new short plays. The fifth annual “Pear Slices” features plays written by Paul Braverman, Leah Halper, Caryn Huberman, Valerie Leghorn, Richard Medugno and Ross Peter Nelson. Kristen Lo and Michael Pease direct. |
