Rebecca Grossberg

and Mark Harvey

Rebecca Grossberg and Mark Harvey were married Aug. 5. The ceremony and reception took place at The Merry Farm of Gotham in Lone Rock, Wis.

The bride is the daughter of Phyllis and Milton Grossberg of Los Altos. She graduated from Los Altos High School, received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC San Diego and a master’s degree in sociology and land resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is employed at the Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University.

The groom is the son of Flora and Earl Harvey of Marlboro, Mass. He graduated from Marlboro High School and received a postdoctoral degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is employed at the Southern Rural Development Center at Mississippi State University.

The couple live in Starkville, Miss.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
