EVELYN DIGIORGIO GRANT

Evelyn DiGiorgio Grant, daughter of Rosario and Carmelina DiGiorgio, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006, in Pasadena, California of natural causes at the age of 90 years. A former resident of Los Altos, she was a member of the DiGiorgio Fruit Corporation family, which was originally from Sicily and was prominent in California, Washington, Maryland and Florida. Mrs. Grant was an avid golfer and bridge player and loved to travel. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wilbur J. “Bill” Grant, her two married sons, Philip and Steven, and their wives, Susan and Sharon, her five grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful and eventful life, and her family misses her very much. As she requested, she was cremated and her ashes spread at sea. The family hopes that her friends will keep her in their thoughts and prayers.
