Almon W. “Dick” Dickinson

Almon W. “Dick” Dickinson, 78 passed away July 22, 2006. Mr. Dickinson was born in San Fernando, CA. Nov. 21, 1927. He graduated from Hollywood High School. After serving in the United States Coast Guard he moved to Los Altos and married Dorothy Helena, daughter of Los Altos Postmaster Percy and Willa Helena in 1949. He sang with the Christian singing group, “The Royal Bards” which performed in the prisons and throughout the central valley churches. They had two daughters, Debbie and Melissa. Mr. Dickinson was a General Contractor and built many churches, homes, remodels throughout Santa Clara County and he was involved with building commercial buildings and large shopping centers throughout the United States. He enjoyed flying and his horses but most of all he loved his wife, family, country, and His Lord Jesus Christ.

JACK SCANLIN

On July 29, 2006 Jack Scanlin after a brief illness passed away in Roseville surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Jack is survived by his faithful wife of 59 years, Joan, their two sons, David and Mark, two daughters-in-law, Esme and Darcy, a granddaughter, Jennifer, two grandsons, Todd and Matthew, a sister Mary, and many nieces and nephews. Jack also left a host of friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him. A memorial service was held in his honor on Thursday, August 3, 2006 @ St. Clare Catholic Church in Roseville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Clare CC in Roseville. The family thanks you.
