Jeanette LeFevre, daughter of Val Carpenter and Tom LeFevre, has been elected as Chapman Ambassador for the 2006-2007 school year at Chapman University in Orange County. The freshman was re-elected to the Associated Students Senate for her sophomore year.

Keith McGinnis, a 2002 graduate of Los Altos High School, received a bachelor’s degree with honors from Humboldt State University on May 13.

Junior Benjamin Tucker of Los Altos was among more than 1,500 St. Olaf College, Minn., students recognized for academic achievement at the college’s annual Honors Day convocation May 5.

St. Francis High School student Tom Evans of Los Altos and Mountain View High School student Stephanie McDonald of Los Altos were among nine students who received honorable mentions in the Coca-Cola Presents Art of Harmony: An Art Competition. Their art will be displayed at the Coca-Cola Company’s worldwide headquarters in Atlanta. The students also received cash awards.
