KATHLEEN THERESE O’CONNOR LUNDBERG RAYMOND
Kathleen was born April 18, 1934 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was the middle child of five and the daughter of Forrest James O’Connor and Irene M. Smith of Reedsburg and Flatteville, Wisconsin.
Kathleen died March 5, 2006 in Mountain View. Her parents, first husband and oldest brother predeceased her.
Son Mark Forrest Lundberg, Auckland, New Zealand, daughter Theresa Rae Garza, Killeen, Texas, husband John Burdick Raymond, Mountain View, sister Betty Steinbrenner, Lancaster, Wisconsin, brothers Dr. Patrick O’Connor, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and Michael O’Connor, Grovetown, Georgia, survive her.
In 1956, Kathleen obtained a B. S. degree from University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She also received a Librarian Technical Assistant certificate from Foothill College in Los Altos.
Kathleen was an elementary school teacher in both the Sunnyvale and Mountain View Public School Districts. She was also a corporate librarian for GTE Sylvania of Mountain View and Alza Corporation of Palo Alto.
Kathleen played first flute and piccolo for Viroqua High School and University of Wisconsin. She was a Girl Scout Leader, District Captain of the Republican party of Santa Clara County, a member of D. A. R. and A. A. U. W.
Kathleen traveled extensively throughout the world. She visited China, Australia, New Zealand, Western Samoa, Hawaii, Russia, Finland, Latvia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, France, Austria, UK and Switzerland.
Memorial services were held at Spangler Mortuary on March 18. Interment was at Alta Mesa in Palo Alto.
