Library, Woman’s Day sponsor story contest

The Los Altos library, the American Library Association and Woman’s Day magazine want to know how the library has changed people’s lives. Community members who have stories to tell can e-mail them to womansday@ala.org by May 10. Four of the stories will be published in an upcoming issue of Woman’s Day. The story must be 700 words or less.

The initiative is part of the “Put It in Writing @ Your Library” program, which is sponsored by the American Library Association and Woman’s Day as part of The Campaign for America’s Libraries, a public awareness and advocacy campaign designed to promote the value of public, school, academic and special libraries and librarians in the 21st century.

For more information, visit www.santaclaracountylib.org or call the library at 948-7683.
