The Future Brain Cancer Institute has scheduled its annual holiday fund-raising reception Dec. 2 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Borel Private Bank and Trust Company, 245 Lytton Ave., Palo Alto.

The institute, founded by Meredith Warshaw of Los Altos Hills, is a partner with the UCSF Medical Center and their goal is to raise $2 million for brain cancer research.
