JURGEN ANNEVELINK
Jurgen, a native of the Netherlands, passed away peacefully on October 21, at the age of 45, ten months after he was diagnosed with liver cancer. Even in the face of and fight against cancer he continued to show his remarkable spirit and love of life.
Jurgen received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delft in 1988 and moved to California the same year. He enjoyed his professional career as a researcher and entrepreneur in the computer industry. He was also involved with his family, friends, church, boy scouts and he enjoyed sailing, skiing and traveling.
Jurgen was a loving and inspiring husband, father, son and brother and is survived by his wife Elsbeth TeBrake, their sons Mark (13) and Emil (11) and daughter Carmen (8), his mother Jannie and brothers Marten and Gerben. His family and friends will miss Jurgen and his spirit will guide us into the future.
A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Sunnyvale on Fremont Avenue on Saturday, November 5 at 3PM.
BETTY ANNA DAUGHTON
Betty, a resident of Los Altos for 40 years, passed away July 22 in Portland (OR). She is survived by four children: Christian, Carl, Rebecca and Thomas, five grandchildren: Jaerrett, Nicholas, Bianca, Lorin and Kathryn, two daughters-in-law: Judi Dohn and Meg England and one son-in-law, Oliver “Butch” Martin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 2PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1715 Grant Road, Los Altos.
Donations in Betty’s memory can be made to the Humane Society of Santa Clara County.
