The Palo Alto School for Jewish Education reopened Sept. 11 for its 35th year and is accepting new students.
The school assists parents in fostering their children’s Jewish identity by emphasizing Jewish culture, history and values.
Classes are held Sundays, from 10 a.m. to noon, for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. An optional hour is offered at 9 a.m weekdays. Hebrew classes are conducted at appropriate levels.
The school is independent and unaffiliated. It serves a diverse group of families, many with mixed heritage, with its curriculum of music, dance, art, drama and family holiday celebrations. The school also offers interested families resources and support for bar/bat mitzvahs.
