LORAYNE B. HOPPER
Lorayne B. Hopper entered peacefully into rest at her home in the company of her family on September 21, 2005, after a brave battle with multiple illnesses.
Lorayne was born on May 28, 1928 to Blanche and Walter Kransky in Madison WI. She was the beloved wife and soul mate of Arthur Hopper for 59 years, dearest mother and best friend of Gary Hopper and LaVon Fobes (Malcolm), devoted daughter of Blanche Kransky and the “Bestest Cat Mom Ever” to her feline family.
While raising her children, Lorayne was very involved in St. Nicholas school and church functions, including room mother, Den Mother/Troop Leader, rummage sales and countless other activities.
During retirement, Lorayne loved to spend the days with her dear husband doing errands and having lunch. Lorayne and Art were devoted companions and their eternal love serves as a testament to their children. Residents of Los Altos for 46 years, they were town fixtures to many.
The family asks that you raise a toast to Lorayne and think of her fondly. Private services have been held. In lieu of flowers, please extend a donation to your local humane society or animal sanctuary.
Lorayne, tears fall for you, but a smile soon follows, as you were such a bright light to all. The stars shine brighter these past few nights, as heaven is proud to have you.
