Dr. Wayne and Joyce Anderson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month. The couple was married Aug. 12, 1955, in Montebello.

They met while attending Biola University, where Wayne was a Bible major and Joyce was a music major in piano and organ.

Wayne retired from his chiropractic practice in 1997 and Joyce continues to use her music at St. Nicholas Church in Los Altos and the Filoli Gardens in Woodside.

They have lived in the Mountain View-Los Altos area since 1960. Their children, Renee Anderson-Campbell, Dr. Robin Douglas, Jacki Neumann, Kelly Anderson, Jerri Anderson and Lance Anderson, with their spouses and eight grandchildren, joined the Andersons to celebrate their golden anniversary at the Wente Brothers Restaurant at the Wente Livermore Vineyards & the Neumann Fellowship Hall Aug. 12.
