Laura Rusch and Marcus Chen

Laura Rusch and Marcus Chen were married May 28 at the Los Altos Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Natalie Rusch of Los Altos and Peter Rusch of Mountain View. She is a Los Altos High School graduate, received a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College, Mass., and a medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. She is a pediatrician with Kaiser Hospital in Denver, Colo.

The groom is the son of Professor and Mrs. Arthur G.T. Chen of Madison, Wis. He is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He is specializing in cardiology.

The couple live in Denver.

Renee Daeumler and Mike Thompson

Renee Daeumler and Mike Thompson were married in November. The ceremony and reception were at the Chaminade Hotel in Santa Cruz.

The bride is the daughter of Lawrence and Sandra Daeumler of Gilroy. She graduated from Gilroy High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Menlo College.

The groom is the son of Susan Thompson of Los Altos. He graduated from Mountain View High School, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s in business administration from Regis University. He is president of Home Technology Integrator for the area.

The couple live in Los Altos.
