Julie G. Fraser-Smith and Michael A. Fagan

Julie Fraser-Smith and Michael Fagan were married Feb. 19, at Stanford Memorial Church. A reception for the couple followed at the Stanford Faculty Club.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Antony C. Fraser-Smith of Los Altos.

She graduated from Los Altos High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business finance and a master’s degree in business administration from San Jose State University. She is employed at Openwave Systems in Redwood City.

The groom is the son of Michael E. Fagan of Mountain View and Mrs. Dale Gogan of Albany, N.Y.

He graduated from Kingston High School in Kingston, N.Y., and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Albany. He is employed at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

The couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, and plan to live in both Los Altos Hills and Grass Valley.

Shelley Uyeda and Jonathan Smith

Shelley Uyeda and Jonathan Smith were married Feb. 19 at Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley. Their reception was held at the Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Lance and Susie Uyeda of Los Altos. She graduated from Homestead High School, received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and psychology and her teaching credentials from UC Davis. She received a master’s degree in instructional technology from San Jose State University and is employed in the Oak Grove School District as a second-grade teacher.

The groom is the son of Cheryl and Ted Smith of Ventura. He graduated from Ventura High School and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is employed as a hardware design engineer in San Jose.

The couple live in San Jose.
