The San Jose State University Choraliers, under the direction of Los Altos Hills resident Charlene Archibeque, are scheduled to present their final European Farewell Concert 8 p.m., June 30, at Campbell First United Methodist Church, 1675 Winchester Blvd.
The internationally renowned choir will compete in the International Competition for Choirs in Gorizia, Italy, July 8-10, in four different categories.
Archibeque, retiring director of the 34-voice chamber choir, announced that the group is the only choir from the United States selected for this prestigious competition and that she looks forward to her final tour with the choir.
For their European Farewell Concert, the group will perform their competition repertoire plus selected chamber choir literature, folk song arrangements and spirituals in preparation for concerts in Munich, Graz and Venice.
