Marine biology camp in Fiji
Los Altos and Mountain View science students and teachers have organized a summer camp in Fiji to conduct marine biology experiments. One of the goals of the studies is to “Keep Fiji Fiji.” FijiFiji BioCamp will run for 12 days, June 25 to July 7.

Forever Almond in mortal clay
Current and former Almond School students can immortalize themselves in the school entry plaza for a tax-deductible donation of $100. That’s the cost of having a brick engraved with a name or a message of up to three 20-character lines. Bricks will be installed before the next school year begins.

Almond holds open house
Almond School has scheduled an open house 7-8 p.m., May 26, to celebrate the completion of the seat wall and several sixth-grade art gifts. The school is located at 550 Almond Ave., Los Altos.

Seminars on healthy teen relationships
Los Altos Girls For A Change, with the support of Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, has scheduled a workshop on dating violence and healthy relationships May 26 at Los Altos High School.
The group will act out several scenarios showing that healthy relationships do not involve violence. The workshops will be held in three assemblies, and classes are encouraged to sign up soon.
The group will also present a parent workshop called “Increasing Awareness About Healthy Relationships - Teaching Our Teens,” May 19. This presentation will be given in Spanish at 6 p.m. and in English at 7 p.m.
The assemblies and the parent workshops will be held in the LAHS Eagle Theater.
