The banquet will be held at the Los Altos Golf and Country Club, 1560 Country Club Drive, with no-host cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m.

London artist John Huggett’s rock ‘n’ roll paintings featuring iconic rock musicians such as Pete Townshend of The Who, the Beatles, and The Jam’s Paul Weller are on show through the end of the month at the Brush & Palette, on Main Street in downtown Los Altos.

Brush & Palette’s owner, Jeffrey Vincent Adan, is impressed by Huggett’s largescale interpretations of vintage rock posters and magazine covers.

Huggett, a British native, immigrated to the United States in 2001, and settled in the Bay Area.

For more information, call 948-4174.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
