Encore presentation of Stegner video
The Los Altos History Museum retrospective of the life and influence of Wallace Stegner has stimulated interest in the video “Wallace Stegner: A Writer’s Life.” Stephen Fisher’s 60-minute film about Stegner’s life and accomplishments, narrated by Robert Redford, was originally shown on PBS and had not been seen for several years until it was presented April 14 as part of the “Wallace Stegner: Throwing a Long Shadow” exhibit.
An overflow crowd prevented all of those interested from being accommodated, so the museum has scheduled a second showing 7:30 p.m., next Tuesday, at the museum. The exhibit itself is open to the public noon to 4 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays, through June 12. Admission to both the exhibit and the showing of the video on May 17 is free.
