A photography exhibit, “A Sense of Place,” featuring the works of 13 Foothill College photographers, is being held at Keeble and Shuchat Photography, 290 California Ave., Palo Alto.

An opening reception for the artists is scheduled 1-4 p.m., Saturday. The exhibition runs through May 25.

This exhibition presents the unique vision of 13 local photographers in capturing a sense of place. The types of places explored include historical towns, international cities, neighborhood parks, waste facilities, public museums and train stations and are located in areas ranging from the San Francisco Bay Area to as far away as Paris and Hong Kong.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
