Eurodesign Ltd. a well-known Los Altos furniture manufacturer, and Valet Organizers Inc. of Campbell will merge April 11. By combining, the two respected Bay Area companies expect to offer additional product options and provide the same superior level of quality and service customers have come to expect.

“By taking the best design features and construction techniques from the two companies, we have created a newly engineered product line that will be unsurpassed in quality and function,” said Larry Fox, the president of both companies. “Together with Valet Organizers’ added expertise in custom closets, garage cabinetry and epoxy flooring, we can offer custom design solutions for the entire home.”

Eurodesign Ltd. makes wall systems to fit any need and space. The Eurodesign system enables a single room to be used for many different purposes. It can incorporate a bedroom, home office, sewing room and entertainment center into one room. Will Wildanger, president and owner of Eurodesign, will continue with the new company as director of engineering and product development.

Fox, who lives in Los Altos, said the new name will be Valet Organizers, but each product line will continue under the brand names of Eurodesign Furniture, Valet Custom Closets or Garage Supreme.

Valet Organizers will have showrooms located in Campbell, Los Altos, Burlingame and Danville. Each showroom will display all the product lines.

Janet Jorgensen, marketing and sales coordinator, said the merger will be seamless with no interruption in service. Any furniture ordered prior to April 11 will be delivered exactly as specified. In addition, all existing warranties will be honored.

The Los Altos showroom remains at the 359 State St. location. It is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

For the first time in five years, a public elementary school, Gardner Bullis, opened its doors last week in Los Altos Hills. For some, it was, metaphorically speaking, the last stitch removed from the old wound following the closure of the original Bullis-Purissima School in 2003.

For others, including the diehards who formed the successful Bullis Charter School, the sting of the Bullis closure lingers. But our sense is that for most Hills residents not part of the Loyola School coverage area, the opening of Gardner Bullis means the resurrection of a long-sought-after neighborhood school and the community benefits that come with it.
