The Almond School playground was a surging sea of orange as eager students passed beneath the Start banner for the annual Walkabout Saturday. Principal Jeffrey Baier, parents, friends and family also enjoyed the music and food and did plenty of walking. The money raised by all those feet will be used to support the many programs already in place at the school and add to supplies. Walkabout proceeds will pay for the visual arts program, computer specialists and equipment, playground equipment and library books.
