Leanne Hitzl and Rene Torgersen

Leanne Hitzl and Rene Torgersen were married August 21, 2004 in Cape Cod, Mass. A reception for the couple was held at the New Seabury Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Royster of Carmel and Donald Hitzl of Orinda. She graduated from Los Altos High School, received a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis and a master’s degree in public health from Emory University. She is employed as a grants manager at Brigham Women’s Hospital.

The groom is the son of Kirsti Andreassen and Reidar Torgersen of Fredrikstad, Norway. He received a bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University and is currently a student at Boston University working toward a master’s degree in business administration and science information systems.

The couple met at Los Altos High School in 1988 when Rene was here as an exchange student. They live in Boston.

April Suzanne Jacobson and Jeremy Lane

April Suzanne Jacobson and Jeremy Lane have announced their engagement to be married April 29, 2006, at the Stanford Memorial Church.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Suzanne Jacobson of Saratoga.

She graduated from Saratoga High School and received a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara in economics and accounting.

She is employed at Applied Signal Technology.

The groom-to-be is the son of Al and Maureen Lane of Los Altos.

He graduated from Mid-Peninsula High School and is employed at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Gary US LLP.
