Storytelling, Molly May, playlet at Linden Tree

Linden Tree Children’s Recordings & Books has scheduled two special events Saturday.

Rewa Hodges will sign her Molly May books - based on her own adventurous childhood - noon to 2:30 p.m.

At 3 p.m., Spontaneous Combustion Storytellers and their guest Eric Sabelman will tell stories from their newest CD, “Words Go Questing: Tales of Seeking and Finding.”

Local author Naomi Kinsman is scheduled to sign copies of her first full-length novel for children, “Luconeth,” 2 p.m., March 26, at Linden Tree.

The author will read from her book, which she says is full of everything she loves best: fantasy, mystery, adventure and friendship. Actors from Portola Valley Children’s Theatre Conservatory, of which Kinsman is artistic director, will perform a scene from the book.

Linden Tree is located at 170 State St. in downtown Los Altos. For more information, call the store at 949-3390 or log on to lindentree.booksense.com.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
