Amity Murray, Michael Spiegel

Amity Murray and Michael Spiegel have announced their engagement to be married Sept. 10 in Hampden, Mass. A reception will follow at the Hampden Country Club.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Paul and Holly Murray of Wilbraham, Mass. She graduated from The MacDuffie School in Springfield, Mass., and received a bachelor’s degree from New York University in media studies. She is employed as a publicist at Penguin Books in New York.

The groom-to-be is the son of Carolyn and Philip Spiegel of Los Altos and Joan Spiegel of Berkeley. He graduated from Homestead High School and received a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in communications. He is a senior advertising copywriter at R/GA in New York. The couple will live in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Janna Watkins, Drew Holwerda

Janna Watkins and Drew Holwerda have announced their engagement to be married June 25 in Santa Ana.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Susan Watkins of Huntington Beach.

She attends Santa Barbara City College where her major is chemistry.

The groom-to-be is the son of Jim and Diane Holwerda of Los Altos.

He is a graduate of Mountain View High School and will graduate from UC Santa Barbara with a business and economics degree in March.

The couple will live in Santa Barbara.
