The Los Altos High School will present a concert commemorating Veterans Day, 8 p.m., Nov. 11, at the high school’s Eagle Theater, 201 Almond Ave.

The event will feature the talents of the Los Altos High School Wind Ensemble, directed by Ted Ferrucci.

Billed as “An Evening with John Philip Sousa,” the event will feature guest conductor Keith Brion.

Brion is known around the world as the chief impersonator of Sousa, perhaps the greatest marching band leader and composer in U.S. history. As director of his own New Sousa Band, he has appeared as a frequent guest conductor with nearly all of America’s major symphony orchestras and professional bands.

This concert also commemorates Sousa’s 150th birthday.

Sousa’s classic “Stars and Stripes Forever” will be played as the concert finale.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and can be purchased at the door.
