Buckley, Stadolnik

Tara Kathleen Buckley and Edward Michael Stadolnik were married Aug. 30 at St. William’s Church, Los Altos. A reception was held at Gugliemlo Winery in Morgan Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Kate Buckley of Los Altos. She graduated from New Canaan, High School, Conn., and earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. She is employed in Fleet, Boston Financial, Boston, Mass.

The groom is the son of Edward and Ann Stadolnik of Medfield, Mass. He graduated from Boston College High School, and received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an Master’s in business administration from Boston College. He is a first lieutenant in the Air Force at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Mass.

The couple live in Brookline, Mass.

The bride’s sister Patty served as maid of honor and her brother Jimmy was a groomsman. Following the Mass, celebrated by the Rev. Kevin Wildes, San Jose, the guests were transported to the winery for the reception.

George and Maryann Konton

50 years

Maryann and George Konton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Radisson Villa Hotel in San Mateo.

They were married Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Paul the Shipwreck Catholic Church in San Francisco.

Their children, Joseph Konton of Mountain View and Mary Jayne Konton of Los Altos, arranged the celebration.

Their matron of honor, Virginia Holbrook of Auburn; bridesmaids Elizabeth Bianchi of Millbrae and Janet Hall of Hayward; and groomsman John Sherry of Folsom were among the 125 guests at the celebration.

They worked for Hewlett-Packard for 28 and 35 years respectively.

George is a native of Nisyros, Greece, and immigrated to the United States in 1946 when he was 18.

They met in San Francisco when George played soccer for the Greek team of the San Francisco Soccer League. Maryann’s father coached the Maltese team.
