Sarno, Puleo

Brooke Sarno and Frank Puleo III have announced their engagement to be married June 19, 2004, at Park City, Utah. A reception is planned to be held in Deer Valley.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sarno of Los Altos.

She is a graduate of St. Francis High School, in Mountain View, and has received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon.

She is employed as a program manager at Yahoo! Inc.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Puleo II of Morristown, N.J. He graduated from Pingree High School and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Williams College.

He currently is pursuing his master’s degree at Columbia University, where he plans to graduate in December.

The couple plans to live in New York, N.Y.

Fernqvist, Beatty

Kristin Ann Fernqvist and Shawn Christopher Beatty have announced their engagement to be married Nov. 8, 2003, at First Baptist Church, in Los Altos.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Janet and Per Fernqvist of Los Altos. She graduated from Homestead High School and has earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Westmont College. She is employed at Fernqvist Labeling Solutions, in Mountain View.

The groom-to-be is the son of Dr. and Mrs. C. Patrick Beatty of Prescott, Ariz. He graduated from Thunderbird High School, Phoenix, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in industrial psychology from San Jose State University. He is employed as human resources manager at Applied Materials, Inc.

The couple plans to live in San Jose.
