Gardner, Foley

Christina Gardner and Matthew Foley were married July 5 at St.Thomas Aquinas Church in Palo Alto. The reception was held at Sharon Heights Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Marianne and Mike Gardner of Los Altos. She is a graduate of Los Altos High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She currently works for SalesForce.com in San Francisco.

The groom is the son of Judy and Robert Foley of Palo Alto.

He graduated from Palo Alto High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Ohio. He currently works for Cnet in San Francisco. The couple reside in San Mateo.

Arruda, Newsum

Valerie Arruda and Joseph Newsum were married July 3 in San Francisco.

The bride is the daughter of Maria and Vlad Arruda of San Jose. She graduated from Eagle Point High School in Oregon and is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree and teaching credential at San Jose State University.

The groom is the son of Hsi-An and Jack Newsum of Los Altos. He graduated from Los Altos High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N. H.

The couple reside in West Lebanon, N.H.
