Burch, Rudrud

Alison Lynn Burch and Kevin Douglas Rudrud have announced their engagement to be married Aug. 2 in Long Beach.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John Burch of Los Altos and Diane Sixt of Temecula. She graduated from Los Altos High School and has earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art from University of California at Los Angeles. She is employed at Quiksilver.

The groom-to-be is the son of Ron and Kathleen Rudrud of Thousand Oaks. He graduated from Thousand Oaks High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is employed as a mortgage broker.

The couple plans to live in Newport Beach.

McLean, Snook

Janet McLean and James Edward Snook have announced their engagement to be married May 25 in Atlanta, Ga.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ephraim Rankin Mc Lean III of Atlanta. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is employed as a national key account manager at Qiagen Inc.

The groom-to-be is the son of Peter and Judy Snook, formerly of Los Altos for 28 years, now living in Carnelian Bay. He graduated from Los Altos High School, and has received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California at San Diego.

The couple plans to live in San Diego.
