Hess, Eliason

Mary Margaret Hess and David Allan Eliason were married Sept. 14 in a garden ceremony at Darlington House, La Jolla. Chaplain Bill Reed, captain in the U.S. Navy and uncle of the groom, officiated.

Best man was Robert Triechler of San Diego. Groomsmen were Jarrod Rickard of Reno, Nev., cousin of the groom; and Jon Hess of Los Altos, brother of the bride. Usher was Austin Hunt of Dallas, cousin of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Virginia Hess of Los Altos and granddaughter of Bebe Flynn and the late John Flynn of Denison, Texas, and the late Hillar and the late Mary Hess of Midland, Texas.

She graduated from St. Francis High School, Mountain View, and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Revelle College of the University of California, San Diego. She is employed as a scientist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, La Jolla.

The groom is the son of Alden and Celeste Eliason of San Diego. His grandparents are Allan and Harle Eliason of Prescott, Ariz. He graduated from Desert Christian School, Bermuda Dunes, and earned a degree in electrical engineering from Revelle College of the University of California, San Diego. He teaches physics and mathematics at Futures High School, San Diego.

The couple live in La Jolla.

Carr, Arevalo

Rachael Carr and Marlon Arevalo were married Sept. 13 at St. Denis Church, Menlo Park. The reception was held at the Los Altos Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Sue Carr of Menlo Park (formerly of Los Altos Hills). She graduated from St. Francis High School, Mountain View, and received an associate’s degree in physical therapy from De Anza College. She is employed at PRN Physical Therapy as a lymphedema specialist.

The groom is the son of Mario and Miriam Arevalo of Newark. He graduated from Alpha Beacon Christian Academy, San Carlos, and received an associate’s degree in automotive technology from De Anza College. He is employed at America’s Tires as senior assistant manager.

The couple live in Santa Clara.

Schuessler, Jackson

Gina Giulietta Schuessler and Jason Jackson were married Sept. 27 at St. Nicholas Church, Los Altos. A reception was held at the Palo Alto Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Duane and Marlene Schuessler, formerly of Los Altos, presently of Los Gatos. She graduated from St. Francis High School, Mountain View, and received a bachelor’s degree with a major in interior architecture from University of California, Davis.

The groom is the son of Don and Mandy Jackson of San Jose. He graduated from St. Francis High School, Mountain View, and received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. The couple live in Newport.

Weir, Kepnes

Nicole Frias Weir and Michael Alan Kepnes were married Aug. 4 in San Francisco. A reception was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Tita and Robert Weir of Los Altos Hills. She graduated from Gunn High School, Palo Alto, and received a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Redlands.

The groom is the son of Phyllis and Ed Kepnes of Natick, Mass. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of Hartford, Conn.

The couple live in Los Altos.
